Requirements for admission

Men and women over the age of 18
(let us know if you are physically challenged.)
No minimum education level,
driver’s license not required.

Admission procedure

1: Please make an appointment by telephone or fax, fill in the application form, and either mail it to us or directly visit our school.

2: Please arrive at our school by 8:15 a.m. on your first day.

3: Please bring the fee with you on your first day.
If your fee is paid by your employer, please make a bank transfer to either one of the following accounts.
Accounts: “Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Kumagaya Branch, Current Account: 4017” / “Saitama Resona Bank, Limited, Kumagaya Branch, Current Account: 0726184”
Account holder (both accounts): “イッパンザイダンホウジンコウナンクレーンキョウシュウジョ”
We will send your employer a bill. Please complete the transfer by the date specified on it.

What to bring on your first day

1. Your official seal
2. Calculator without memory
3. Work clothes
4. Eight copies of your ID photo (H35mm×W25mm). You can alternatively take your ID photo at our school (¥1,740 for eight copies).
5. Safety boots (also available for purchase at our school for ¥5,000 a pair)
6. Certificate card, etc., for exemption from the written test, if you have already passed it.
7. Crane operator’s license, mobile crane operator’s license, derrick and hoarding equipment operator’s license if you have any. (You will be exempt from dynamics.)

8. Identification certificate

Please be sure to bring either one of the following.

1. Driver's license (if the address and legal domicile on your driver’s license are different from your current address and legal domicile, please bring a copy of your residence certificate.)
2. A copy of your residence certificate (issued within the last three months)
3. Health insurance card (necessary if you stay at our dormitory)

Licenses issued by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (boiler operator grade 2, health officer, blasting operator, diver, etc.) if you already have any at the time of participation in our program.

Steps towards obtaining your license

Application

Admission

Training: Theoretical + practical

Practical skill test: Graduates of our school will be exempt from it for a year.

Application for practical skill test: We will do it on your behalf.

Results of the written test: The results will be announced in about a week.

Certification application: Trainees will apply for their certification to the Certificate Issuance Center of Tokyo Labor Bureau individually.
From December 1st, 2008, applicants need to apply for their certificate individually.

Certificate issuance: Your certificate will be issued in about three weeks after applying.

Training period

The training period will be about five to seven days.

If you wish to obtain your certificate as quickly as possible, we recommend staying at our accommodation facility and taking part in our training camp.

Certificate fees

The crane/derrick operator’s license is required for operating cranes with a lifting capacity of five tons or more.
The mobile crane operator’s license is required for operating mobile cranes with a lifting capacity of five tons or more.
The limited license refers to a license for operators of cranes with a lifting capacity of five tons or more who only carry loads when driving.(not eligible to operate remote cranes)
Trainees that pass the practical skill test during the training period will be exempt from the practical skill test of the certification test.

About miscellaneous fees

¥15,200(tax included) for expenses in crane/derrick and mobile crane programs

Breakdown: Examination fee: ¥6,800; License issuance fee: ¥1,500; Photography fee (eight copies): ¥1,740; Postage: ¥760; Workbooks: ¥1,800; Two textbooks for mobile crane or crane/derrick programs: ¥2,600

Those exempt from the written test will only need to pay a photography fee of ¥1,740.
